Our Story

Built by people who know what it feels like
to need support

Grounded was engineered and designed by people who have personally struggled with anxiety, overthinking, burnout, and the quiet weight of feeling alone in your own thoughts.

Why We Built This

Mental health challenges are more common than ever.

Globally, nearly 1 in 7 people live with a mental health condition. In the United States, almost 1 in 4 adults experience some form of mental illness each year. Among high school students, nearly 40% report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness.

But statistics only tell part of the story.

"No one should have to navigate their inner world alone."

Grounded was built for the in-between moments — not just when everything collapses, but when things feel heavy, confusing, or quietly exhausting.

We know what it feels like to lie awake replaying conversations. To question yourself constantly. To feel overwhelmed without knowing why. To want support — but not know where to begin.

And we also know that real support can feel out of reach. It can be expensive. It can feel overwhelming to open up in person. And sometimes, you're not falling apart — you just need something steady to hold onto.

Grounded exists to help you slow down, feel heard, and take a steady next step forward. To support you when you're at your lowest — and to stay with you as you build back up.

Whether your goal is to feel more confident in your own skin, form deeper connections, manage anxious patterns, or simply feel more grounded day to day — Grounded is here to support that journey.

Because support shouldn't only show up when things fall apart. It should be something you can return to — anytime.

What We Stand For

Our guiding commitments

Everything about Grounded — from design to language — flows from these principles.

01
Accessibility

Support shouldn't require a waiting room, a copay, or the courage to explain yourself to a stranger. Grounded is available whenever you need it, on your own terms.

02
Inclusivity

Mental health does not look the same for everyone. We serve people across identities, cultures, and life experiences — and we use language that reflects that commitment.

03
Honesty

Grounded is a companion tool, not a replacement for professional care. We're transparent about what we are — and clear about when you should seek additional support.

04
Continuity

Real support doesn't just show up in a crisis. It's something you can return to — anytime. Grounded is built to be a steady, consistent presence across your wellness journey.

Designed For Real People

Mental health doesn't look the same for everyone.

Grounded aims to serve people across identities, cultures, and life experiences. We strive to use inclusive, non-stigmatizing language and design choices that are accessible and understandable.

We are committed to improving accessibility and usability wherever possible, and we welcome feedback.
